Plugin documentation outdated

Hi!

It seems to me that the documentation for plugins in general is outdated.
Some worse than others. What are your plans here Otoy?

I think It is reasonable to expect to have updated documentation when I buy a product this sophisticated and complex, right?

Anyway, thanks for Octane which is by ...

Those cores can be programmed through three publicly available APIs — NVIDIA OptiX, Microsoft DirectX (through the DXR extension), and Vulkan. DirectX and Vulkan are intended for use in games and real-time render engines whereas OptiX is best suited for ...

Sure but will Octane still be the unbiased Octane we love using the new APIs??

Re: Geforce RTX

NVIDIA’s RTX speed claims fall short without game API support..
Expect 30-40% more speed over 1080TI for pure CUDA computing according to this article.

Will Octane still be unbiased?

With all new APIs popping up (Vulkan, directx RT...) and Octane being an unbiased renderer I simply wonder if we are moving towards a more biased version of Octane? Reading about Nvidias new 20XX series and listening to various ppl talking about it I get the impression that the price for real time ...

Re: OctaneRender V4 XB3

I'm going echo the requests for edge rounding. Edge rounding is **absolutely critical** for both CAD rendering and baking down game assets. Two areas (especially products rendering) that are probably very important to OTOY. The current implementation is not something that works well or is (to be ...
