Hi oktomus,

In Octane, this is implemented in a different way, via Render layers.
This is more useful for isolating individual objects, for compositing needs, than it is for excluding objects from the scene.

Hi ahrenm,

There is a slider "Highlight compressor", in the Imager settings. Try setting that to 1 to try and reduce the hotspots.
Or maybe try lowering the specular value of your material.

As for the shadow coming from the handrail, can you rotate the sun directional light and see if that moves ...

The samples-slider had a bug, it should be fixed in the next release.

Hi Iceman9,

Thanks for your feedback, these are good points.
The samples-slider is not acting as it is supposed to, it should behave exactly the same as it does in Standalone. We'll take a look at that, thanks for pointing it out.

The samples are more set up to (eventually) produce a better image ...

At the moment, you can import an ORBX-file that was exported from C4D into Unity via Octane → Load ORBX. However, this will only display an outline of the scene dimensions in the Unity view port, and provides no controls over materials or individual elements of the scene.

Hi,

It should work by simply assigning a skybox in Unity's Lighting panel, but there appears to be an issue with this... Thanks for pointing this out, we're looking into it!

In the meantime, can you see if this solves your problem?:

As mentioned in this thread , we are working on a new way for users to apply tone mapping in Octane. This will allow for greater, custom control over the final look of an image.
