I am trying to activate my Octane 2.x license.
Octane Standalone activation works , but Octane 3dsmax plugin can´t be activated because "could not connect to server".
What could be the reason for that?

I am still working in V2;
When opening a file from October 2017, using the latest version of octane-3dsmax plugin, released May 2016,
materials render fine in editor, but in the render window there is white only.
If it was an file-plugin-incompatibility issue, materials would render white, too ...

What do you need procedural for?
It´s a flat object, so create a few maps in Photoshop.
Keep it simple: 1 diffuse map , 1 reflect map, one glossiness map, 1 bump map should do.

i tried option1 , did not help.
option2 : i do not quite understand what you mean by that.
The Displaced Material is applied to the whole object.
how could i apply displacement only to a certain selection of polygons?
btw. i am using Octane plugin version 2232.191.
is there maybe a known ...
