Making application irresponsible doesn't prevent race conditions :) - DS is multithreaded by nature and locking GUI thread doesn't prevent others from working. It's just a sign of programmer being too lazy to make special thread for heavy processing and doing it in main GUI thread instead. Well ...

Anyone else having trouble typing exact values into the NGE? Or the LDB when searching for a material? More often than not I am unable to type exact values; only the sliders work.

... if you have a scene with high contrast, which would actually lead to overshooting i.e. background sky/hdr/windows/whatever when using high exposure, or darken other areas with less exposure, you even don't need to use an exr - 16 bit pngs or even an 8 bit jpgs would be sufficient to use this ...

in particular on this one: technical in ocds if there is a medium node with scattering. this not necessarily means that there is some sss effect ;)
