Arnold as far as I can tell by the docs is not yet out of core, like redshift is, which means it cant access data in the ram or the disk, so it needs to load it all to the GPU memory, if your scene and textures are larger ...

I have set Octane SunSky to Daylight environment and Daylight enviroment>Daylight type to Daylight system.
I have enabled visible environment and set octanesky as visible environment.

The objects in scene are affected as with the environment settings but the background is black ...
