Thanks for the answer! Split diopter is super cool, but not exactly what i am looking for.
Essentially, i want to have an object (the window) totally exluded from the DOF. But i guess thats not possible.

DOF through glass
Hi!
I want to render a scene looking through a window. The camera should focus the window so you can see for example waterdrops on it. But at the same time it should focus on an object outside, while having DOF for the other objects outside, for example trees.
How would i approach this?

lights power vs color
Hi!
I was wondering what is better when using the universal light. have a bright color/tint + low power value, or dark color + high value?
always confused since i think i remember the default color in cinema4d was white, but in houdini the default is pretty dark.

Re: strong DOF
Thanks!
Is there any way to change that limitation? Or is it just a physical thing?
I have so many cases where i'd like to have way stronger DOF.

Is there already an ETA for Houdini 21 compatibility?

Thanks a lot for the great update!
Is it me or won't the lights get updated in the ipr when switching them off?

Re: Houdini + Octane + Deadline questions
Sorry for the late reply!
Submitting works, and it also starts trying to render. But i then get errors in deadline.
They look like this:
=======================================================
Error
=======================================================
FailRenderException : Error: 'const uint8 ...

volume glare postprocessing spikes
Hi!
I have random spikes on the glare i add in the postprocessing tab when rendering volumes, please see the attached video.
I think its random, sometimes its on one frame, then on another, cant reproduce always reproduce it.
Using Octane 2025.1.2.0 and Houdini 20.5.487
