OctaneRender™ Standalone 2.23.2
Ok, the "keep environment" option should work correctly now. Also fixed another bug in the info channel kernel. Apologies for the hassle.

2 thought on the "Pano blackout latitude" pin
- Currently it's in the Stereo Group of pins and does not work when stereo is disabled. Users could use the feature for both stereo and mono panoramas so it would make sense for the pin to be just a pano camera feature. Unless i'm missing something.
- It appears to be a mask only with no reduction in render times. it would be great if it reduced the actual pixels rendered. With 3000x1500 or 3000x3000 frames this would really reduce render times for animations.
Thanks again for all the hard work.

Hi,fish wrote:Hi abstrax, have you checked the batch rendering. It seems broken.
Can you elaborate a bit? I tried it here and it seems to work fine.
cheers,

Hi Stratified,
I have tested with 2 scenes separately. They are quite heavy scenes (around 1.7gb and got 9 render targets each) When I try to start batch rendering in "2.22" it works fine. But in "2.22.2" and "2.23.1" it fails and I get this message in the log:
Started logging on 05.05.15 17:24:05
OctaneRender version 2.22.2 (2220002)
Error raised in callback:
[string "Batch rendering"]:485: attempt to index field 'path' (a nil value)
I couldn't figure it out
Thank you,

(I think this is a bug):
When I set (in the obj node settings, not globally) the subdivision level e.g., to 2 (Catmull Clark) and try to modify height of the displacement it destroys UVs right next to corners (some stretching occurs). What I do I reset subdiv level back to 0, change height of displacement and then set again subdiv level to 2.
PS. Same bug occurs (also with displacement turned off) when I close and open Octane and open the scene again.

Thank you,
Yes, you're right, it is broken. We seem to break our scripts a lot these days ...

Attached is a fixed script. We will include it in the next release.
cheers,
Thomas

Just a heads up: We updated another small quick-fix release 2.23.2 to sort out some more bugs and to introduce single face cube map projection and the merged batch/animation render script.
