otcane metaballs and Light pass

Hello,

I have a big sphere, an particle emitter in it that generates smaller spheres and this all in a metaball object, so I have a great water dropping scene.
My challenge is the lightning. The drops have an other material and they need more light. So I create one with Light pass ID 1 for the whole scene and one Light with Light pass 2 for the drops.
It donĀ“t works. It seems that the octane tag only works on the top of the metaball hirarchy. The octane tag on the particles seem to have no effect. Could that be?
