Story Time
By: z_farm
So I had a million idea's but have always loved the idea of mixing reality with fantasy. Two of my favorites growing up where Where the Wild Things Are and Time Bandits. My 10 yr old son, Mike, loves making tents on his bed and bedtime story's. Sometimes I can't always be around to read to him so this is dedicated to him and Patches (the dog). Working on this has been amazing. Not only to be able to have real-time feedback but then to be able to put on the Gear and be "IN" the rendering is just amazing. I was telling my wife "I feel like I've only been drawing in black and white my whole life and now someone just gave me a every tube of color paint imaginable." I finally feel like I have the canvas I been waiting for my whole life. I hope I have time for next months competition. Keep up the good work guys/gals and thanks for making the Max plug available. Cheers, Sam

Sunny day at the pool
By: wimvdb
Scene created in Poser with 3rd party figures and props. Many of the materials have been modified to get a good result in Octane. For the water I used a mask to change the bump value when looking down The thing I like most about the VR environment is that it adds a complete new dimension to storytelling to my images

Mashup between the clouds
By: momade
For this entry I wanted to create a colorful and fun spatial mashup of my favourite 3D objects that I was creating and handling during my first year of working with this amazing renderer. All objects used in the scene where part of projects that happened / almost happen or WIP/RnD and where all created to be rendered with OctaneRender. Please enjoy! I can't really remember what happened... Everything started lifting off the ground and got mixed up in a colorful space floating between clouds... Design by Moritz Reichartz. http://www.momade.de

Cafe Maestro early spring
By: ristoraven
Cafe Maestro during early spring. In this scene I did set the ipd to 85 mm. Works better in my opinion.

The rabbit hole.
By: Rico_uk
I loved the idea of showing the quiet and calm outside of a futuristic Metaverse. There is a juxtaposition between people lying still and silent in beds next to each other in the relative isolation of cryo-sleep, and the interactive society inside the Metaverse they are experiencing.

Humble African Abode V2
By: solomon
A mysterious , humble African dwelling place, for a village from my animated TV series, "The Adventures of Nkoza and Nankya" ~ the environment is set in East Africa, and is the dwelling of a farmer character. I rendered the scene in Maya, modeling and rendering was done in Maya, with the Octane plugin. ~ http://www.nkozaandnankya.com ~ production progress: http://www.nkozaandnankya.com/episode-1-nkoza-nankya/
