Beta 2 Crashes at startup

Hey all,
I just installed the Beta 2 Demo and it crashes at the splash screen.

I have the latest 197.13 dev drivers installed. (can we use the 197.13 whql drivers instead of the dev ones btw?)
Any ideas?

I had the same issue. Had to install the DEV version of 197.13 to get it to come around. Rendering now and looks awesome!

Im already using the Dev drivers but im still getting the crash :/
Hopefully there is a solution
*edit* just to make sure, i uninstalled the driver, cleaned my system with the Guru 3d Driver Sweeper, rebooted and then did a clean dev driver install.
Octane is still crashing

try using the latest normal drivers for your card, not the cuda dev drivers...

I have tried the 197.13 WHQL drivers and the 197.25 Beta drivers with no luck. :/
Any more ideas what it could be?

try 197.03
and you should use the driversweeper or what it's called to make sure everything is propperly uninstalled first.

Is that a typo? I cant find a driver version with that number :S

Im not sure what to say, its not showing up for my system :S
I tried the Dev site and i can find it there either.
Any ideas?

you've tried the cuda 3.0 developer drivers here:

and the latest from the general drivers page of nvidia ?
are there any others with 8000 series cards for whom beta2 does work ?
it could be the new system that automatically switches to the right kernel for 8000/9000...
