SSS with rigid inclusions

damn it became late - but I can´t get my hands off the new SSS and absorption sliders...
It´s easy to set up yet the scale slider responds a bit nervous. I love the volume it adds..my favorite toy for today.
chosing the right HDRI can be pretty tricky - it should emit enough light from an interesting direction - e.g. by strong rim/side lights surroundings.
connecting the SSS material to the egg as well as to the inclusions can produce awesome results, too.
each render cooked for 10 minutes in 1024x1024 - the glowing one definitely needs some more time.

The Ruby one is gorgeus! Tobad you can see the smoothing error on top of the egg.. Subdivide the egg, and it will be perfect!

thanks for the hint with smoothing
still have problems to get rid of the "glass" look. The volume still does not "feel" right, no matter how deep or strong the scatter is.
I will try with colorized absoption now.
My Reference: Although biased, it´s a beautiful render made with Splutterfish Brazil r/s.

thanks kubo...
Tweaking SSS in realtime can be some much fun....
last one, although I think I´m done here: added SSS to the ribs so they look more like fish bones.
