You can share setting of material? Is diffuse +sss or specular?

Ofcourse. It is a material Mix. The SSS is with the Specular material. It appears that SSS is working only with Specular materials changing the SSS values on a Diffuse material has no result for me...It even does not update the view port on changes.

OK i was wrong! The Diffuse material + SSS works very well and a lot faster. You just need to plug FloatTexture or use an actual image to the Transmission input node of a Diffuse material.

I tried telemmaite's mix of diffused and specular.

There's certainly a lot more control using it.

Thanks once again for the suggestion telemmaite

You can do it a lot better. Try my second example of the Wax. Without the Specular material and mix. Use Diffuse SSS by putting float texture to the transmission input of the Diffuse material. Then you can increase the SSS by lowering the Scale. It is very important that you have correct Scale of your model. My candle is 6cm wide at top and 9cm wide at bottom, Height 12cm . I have the same candle sitting next to me i can lit it and take a picture with the camera to post it here but the result is nearly 100% the same as the render.

Ok thanks telemmaite

I'll try diffused SSS and adjust the scale.See how that pans out.
