Soft2Octane 2.52c [Obsolete]

Only two changes...

Fixed in this version:
  • Octane should now render the complete animation.
I check every 100ms if Octane is running and read the percent load.
If the load is 0, i attach a true to a queue.
If the load is <> 0, i delete the queue.
If the queue lengt is 300, means 300x100ms=30sec, the process is killed and the frame will rerendered without export.
You will also see a message on which frame Octane is killed like this: "Octane Termated on Frame x"
  • Strands are now exported correct if you rotate the PointCloud.
I hope that the kill stuff works correct and it would be nice if someone can test it ;)

Enyoj!

Edit:
You need the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64/x86 Runtimes and Redistributeables!

Have found an issue that spherical area lights damage the obj-file in this version.
Problem was solved and the zip is updated.

Thank you thank you thank you for taking care of this! :D :D :D I'll put on a render now... I'll report tomorrow morning!

Im so dependant on Octane now its ridiculous. This has been a major problem last couple of weeks.. I keep my finger crossed!

Wonderful Face!! I went crazy and shut down my processkiller, and just trusted you new exporter.. No missing frames, no freezes, nothing.. It was just done in the morning! Will try a scene I had great difficulties with in the past tonight!

Good to know :)
I hope that you become the "Octane terminated on frame X" message in the script editor window.
Then i know, it works correct...

It would help me if you can check the script editor window, if there is a message that octane is terminated on frame x?
But nice to that it works ;)

I haven't seen the message either, but last night i managed to render 500 HD frames in a row, and that is a first. Great job, thanks! ;]

I have one question / request: could we get a slider to animate Stereo Distance in some future version?
