Octane Viewport greyed out after render

Hi, I'm having an issue where whilst rendering the Octane Viewport is normal, but as the render completes the image is replaced with grey and the toolbar is mostly greyed out. This happens with fresh scenes.

Using Blender 5.1.2, Octane Add-on 31.8.0 on Win.

During render...
Octane Viewport during render
Octane Viewport during render
When render finishes...
Octane Viewport on render completion
Octane Viewport on render completion

After a render, the Octane Viewport needs to be closed and reopened.

Also, please keep in mind that the Octane Viewport in Blender is mainly intended for debugging purposes, and it should not be kept open while launching final renders.

For regular work, you should use the standard Blender viewport with Octane rendering instead.

Thanks Lino. I would like to just use the standard Blender Viewport but I need to save the file as Multi-layer EXR with Cryptomatte and the Blender Viewport saved file will not open the Cryptomatte layers correctly in Photoshop and the Beauty pass color is different (see this old thread viewtopic.php?t=84777 ).

I've tried troubleshooting with a fresh install and fresh scene using the Octane Render Startup (Path Tracing) default scene.

If I start the render preview and open the Octane Viewport it works as expected but if I then go back to Solid Shading the Octane Viewport goes grey (expected as rendering is stopped). Then if I start rendering again the Octane Viewport will stay grey but indicate that it is rendering. As you mentioned closing and reopening the window refreshes it and it again works normally. But it still goes grey on completion if I do an F12 render.
