Scatter on polygon center ?

Hello.
Any chance you could add a Polygon center option in Octane Scatter source of distribution ?

I have issues when using lotof cloners and instances in "render instance" mode.
Works super fine in Standard/Physical/Redshift, but if Octane, it doesn't work at all anymore.
Impossible in OSX, very slowish/crashy in Windows.

I have to convert all of the files into Octane Scatter, which runs crazy good and fast, Octane X or PC.
Scatter working with the created fields and effector is so awesome 👍

My request is that when converting into scatter, converting cloner into quad poly would be a great souce of distribution for scatter. Sadly scatter only offer vertex mode, not poly center, which is true pain to convert. Didn't find any fast and productiv way to convert sources into vertex. Tracer in axis mode some time helps but what a mess. And doesn't work in any situations.
Spending hours to recreate a matrix source with magnet is a real pun.
Or may I miss the function somewhere ?

Please !? 🙏🙏🙏

Hi,
Yes, Scatter object should need a refresh sooner or later, but about C4D MoGraph cloners, have you tried to set the "Instance mode" to "Multi-Instance", and the "Display mode" to "Off"?

It works great on my Mac in this way.

Ciao Beppe
Thanks for feedback.
Yes I tryed, but typically I have nested Instances into nested Cloners, and it starts to fall.
Imagine for example scenes like old architecture with many bas-relief and moulures, deco elements and so on.
A deco plaster goes into a group, then is cloned x time on a story level, then cloned again in multi levels… used in multiple houses in the scene… and so on.
Or even bricks wall ! Using cloner with fields to control precisely what clone is used.
Setuped is seconds with a cloner, hour with a scatter.

Or mechanical modeling with thousands of "kitbash" elements, instanced, and then used inside of cloners for animation, placements and so on.

Would eventually proxy them in V-Ray / Redshift. Or keep them Render Instances / MultiInstances.

I ear Render Instances are only here now for retro compatibility and should be totaly replaced by multi-instances but by experience when they are lotof them, multi-instances mode wont work any more or start to act slowish, when good old render instances works fine. Don't know why.
Until now I'd use Render instances for viewport speed, and switch them to simple instances when render with Octane. And wait minutes for octane to prepare scene. (when no prep needed with Scatter workflow).
But in complexe scenes you'll need some instances to be RI and others to be simple, and switching become impossible ot stupidly time consuming.

Not a directe cloner workflow.
But thanks for testing :)

Sorry for long post.
