"Object Layer Color" does not work in the latest 31.3 Beta Release

When I try to get Object Layer Color to work and get out the color I set in the Object context, the Object Layer Color node, although connected in the UI seems to be doing nothing to the rendering. It acts as if there was no node connected.
It works in the older version of Blender Octane e.g. OctaneRender™ for Blender 2024.1.2 - 29.20. So this seems to be a bug with the Blender addon version of Octane.
