Anyone have any troubles launching octane_addon_server-studio-31.2-beta

I have tried launching as admin but I cant get it to launch

I am able to launch vers 30.9

Many thanks for any ideas

Just an idea, dunno if I am right as I am not able to test it, Firewall?

Please try installing it outside the Program Files folder. I normally install both Blender and the Server into a folder named Programs.

Also, please check firewall permissions.

I also install out of the program fdr.
I checked the firewall...
I have multiple entries that just say octane server
One that says octane server.exe
(I made them all private and public..... is that best? Should they be off?)


I have deleted all dirs that contain any server files
restarted

unzipped the new server into dir on desktop
restarted

checked firewall and rechecked private and public.

restarted

then tried to launch the server normally and as admin

again the server did not load in the hidden icon location.

Thanks for you help open to any other ideas

Assuming its windows, delete all entries of octane server in advanced firewall inbound and outgoing, public and private.

Thanks I did that and there is only the last one I installed
octane server.exe

this has public and private selected

are you suggesting that I delete that one as well by any chance?

I am a bit naive when it comes to firewalls etc.

There is no harm, delete every octane from the firewall as I said, all rules incoming and outgoing
I checked mine and have no rule in firewall for octane.
