[SOLVED] Mac M1: There is no GPU device which is selected...
Posted: Tue Oct 14, 2025 10:28 am
Hi,
Here are my specs:
Apple M1 Max
Mac OS: Tahoe 26.0.1
Cinema 4D 2026.0.0
Octane Render Plugin: 2025.2.3-v1.7.1
I'm having trouble with Octane and get this error when starting to render. The Cinema 4D scene is empty. Then I get another error message, and Cinema crashes to the Desktop. When opening the Octane Settings, the chip is by default unchecked. And if I try to check it, it doesn't change anything, and the critical error remains. I tried logging the plugin out. But this doesn't work either, as the button is broken and doesn't do anything when pressed. Other things I've tried without success:
- Clean reinstallation of Maxon App, Cinema 4D 2026, and Octane plugin.
- installed older version Cinema 4D 2024
Any ideas what to do?
Thanks in advance
