Phoenix Ocean rendering Opaque

I think Ive tried everything in the book while testing Octane Demo for 3ds Max 2024. Im currently using the Octane Properties Modifier on Phoenix Ocean
. Is there anything else I should do? Ive tried setting it as Mesh instead of Ocean Mesh and that crashes Max.
Ive also imported a demo liquid sim Octane scene and it renders fine with transparency. Just something to do with it being a Phoenix sim.
UPDATE: Now I cant apply a material to the dock ropes. They still render as grey. Its stopped allowing me to apply materials??

Sorry for the late reply...lol..trying Octane again. This scene didnt work for me, I seem to have a problem with different Phoenix versions or just importing sims from another file. I ended up recreating an Ocean sim from the Phoenix Presets and set the PREVIEW to Mesh. Render to Ocean Mesh and it worked. Not as much fractal detail within the larger waves as Fstorm can recreate though (but I can live with it as the Ocean isnt the hero object). I see it cant extended the waves beyond the grid either? This is PFD version 5.

I remember running into something similar with Phoenix + Octane a while back. From what I’ve seen, Octane can be pretty picky with Phoenix Ocean shaders and transparency, especially in the demo versions. You could try resetting the Octane Object Properties modifier and reapplying it, since sometimes the material assignments get stuck or overridden by the ocean mesh settings.
For the grey rope materials, check if the objects accidentally became part of a selection set or render layer override after the crash. I’ve had Max randomly stop accepting material assignments after plugin crashes too
