LV / Picture Viewer Brightness Difference

Hi There,

i have updated to 2025.2.0 Build 1.5.1. I have noticed a difference in Brightness/Gamma in the Live Viewer (See attached Screenshot). Any ideas? Makes it hard for me to spot really bright areas etc.
C4D 2023.2.0 / macOS 15.3.1

Thanks,
Lars

Hi Lars,

in Picture Viewer, set the "View Transform" popup to "OFF".

Hi Beppe,

thanks for the quick reply but I can't spot a difference at "off" or any other setting. For me it seems that the live viewer is too dark. When I look at a custom AOV the white appears also not really white (see screenshot)

Thanks,
Lars

Lars, on the Octane Render Viewer an unlabeled box is set to 0.6, could it be?
What's the "color pipeline"? ACES, AgX, sRGB default?

Irrelevant to the post: the render settings could be slightly optimized although fairly well set for the most part. To be disregarded if the settings were not finalized.

The resolution is locked on the live viewer window to the dimensions defined in the render settings. Since the final resolution is a little too big for my screen the unlabelled box is there to scale the resolution down to 0.6. It's there since forever and has as far as I know nothing to do with brightness or color.

For the color I usually leave as is. SRGB/HDR. Before the update I used 2024.1.2 and used the same color settings but there where no issues.

Thanks for the input,
Lars

Hi Lars,

ok, can you share a scene with me?
Maybe via private message, thanks.
