Otoy's Network Render inside of C4D, how it works? Does each computer caltulate each frame alone?

Hello, I have a question regarding the Network Rendering using slave machines... How does it work? Does it mean that each frame of animation is calculated on specific machine only? Or is the each frame shared between computers during rendering that frame?

Hi,
The Primary machine with plugin or Standalone prepares the scene for GPUs, and sends a tile of the rendering to each Render-Node machine.
Then collects the results from internal and external GPUs and finalize and save the rendered frame.
So you can use it not only for animations, but also for high res still frame rendering.

Beppe

Hello, thank you for your answer, so to make it clear for me, does it mean that each frame can be rendered on multiple machines simultaneously? So each Render Machine rendering just some tile from the whole image? Because I tought it works like each frame goes on each render machine.

OctaneRender scales linearly in multi GPUs rendering, each frame is subdivided in tiles for internal GPUs.
Network rendering is doing the same with the GPUs in other machines in the network, so each frame is rendered one by one with all the available GPUs, internal or external via network.
