Haven't been using the service for a long time and jumped back in today because I've got too much frames to render for my workstation.
I remember the service being much faster in the past. While Tier 2 still renders relatively fast, I've got some projects sitting in economy for hours now with no or just 1-2/500 frames done. When using economy a few months ago, a project like this was finished within 12-14hrs overnight.

Is there any info on how many nodes there are active, how many user are still contributing to this or – how reliable will rndr be in the near future?

Sorry about that. The network experienced a temporal issue yesterday and some Tier 3 (Economy) jobs piled up before yours. But it was fixed soon after and all jobs should be running smoothly now.
