What are the top tips for lower render time of VDBs? please

Hello, I have a scene where I have a render time of one frame for roughly 40sec but with Pyro cached sim in it I get 12 minutes :(

So I am wondering what might be the key value in the render settings, I am in Path tracing mode... I have setup of HDRI and few area lights but only one is set up to be visible for that volume thanks to object tag with light ID set.

I guess there must be some value which controll just the volume, like its amounth of noisiness or something...

Any tip would be greatly appreciated :)

"Render time" optimizations are not only at VDB-level but "scene" level as well.

The Octane Sampling page should help. For volume, there are further information on the Octane Volume page.

Thank you Skientia for your reply, I have already found a solution for me to tweak values of the Octane Volume object itself, specifically the Density and Step Lenght Percent Values were the key here.

That's indeed the predominant parameter (singular), any other optimizations build on top.

Singular as density itself is not considered an optimization parameter as it affects the rendition of the volume in certain ways; it may contradict with creative intents.
