There should be little icons in the upper right of a node for disabling the node and show/hide UI controls when you hover over them like there are on the Windows version. The controls themselves are there in the Mac version, but the icons aren't visible when hovering or clicking.

Mac Sequoia 15.2, Octane 2024.1.2, C4D 2025.1.1

like for Grid visibility, in macOS you need to disable the "New style" option in c4doctane Settings/Nodes:

Seems like "New style" should be off by default in the Mac version, and the checkbox in the options should read "New style (beta)"

Thanks for the workaround though - I'll keep that off until I know the new style is updated.
