ORBX export crashes / file not saved on successful export

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to export an ORBX from Blender and I keep running into problems.
After I begin the export I use activity monitor in Windows 10 to keep an eye on the Octane Server and it's usage hovers around 12.49% and after a few minutes the Octane Server usually crashes and Blender remains open. After a crash I restart both Blender and the Octane Server. On the rare instances that it doesn't crash during export it says that the export is successful and even shows a path to a file being saved as .orbx, but doesn't save out an orbx file, just a folder named assets full of textures in the same spot the ORBX is supposed to be. I've seen this behavior before with Houdini as well, when it tries to save an ORBX but crashes and only manages to save out an alembic.
I'm using the custom build, Blender with Octane 29.16 ,the scene is a 1.49GB blend file, 288 frames total, and I've been trying to export only 1 frame to test it before exporting the entire frame range, but cannot get it to do even that. I've had issues in Houdini with trying to export a frame range different from the one set in the scene, could it be that if I have a range of 1-288 and try to export 1-3 instead of the full range that it causes issues in Blender?
I've created a new camera in the scene to make sure it isn't the camera issue.
Hoping to resolve this issue so I can submit to the Render Network's Advent Competition. Thanks in advance for the help!
Best,
Dmitry
