What version do I have to install to get this working with blender.

The main working machine is M1 Pro with Blender

Render Nodes are mostly Windows machines and some M1 Pro Macs

Those are the Download options

As long as the node is 2024.1, it should work with 29.15.

Sadly, it doesn't work.

All recent versions installed.
Octane standalone works perfectly with the node, also Modo does, but Blender not

It does. Please check your installed versions. 2024.1 windows render node with blender 29.13 addon version

The only strange thing I am having is the render node is visible via wifi but not over ethernet. When connected via ethernet I can successfully ping the IP but it does not show up for whatever reason. Wifi simply works. I will come back when I have found a solution. If anybody else has an idea I would appreciate that very much. Thank you all

Thanks for the hint - 29.13 works like a peach! :P

But the the latest build 29.15 does definitely not work here (Mac OS 15.1 Host, Win 11 Node)

I also digged a bit deeper in why it is not working with 2 different network adapters like WIFI and ETHERNET.

In my case the Wifi is bound to .254 and Ethernet is .252.

In order to work over ethernet I have to change it to 252 but have not found a way to do that.

Any hints appreciated.

I have also tested the 29.15 Blender Octane version and the render node does not work here. I get the same error message that David got.

Hi Lino,

how do we handle that issue. Do you want me to open up a Bug report or do you transfer this post to be bug reports section ?
