Save Image Sequence does not work on single frame

Octane 2024.1, C4D 2025.0.0, Windows 11
If the start and end frame in the Output section of the C4D render settings are set to the same value, Octane will render ALL frames rather than just the single frame.
I want to be able to render one single frame from this interface because Save Passes as EXR doesn't allow for custom compression, bit depth, or anything else.
Single frame, regardless of value renders ALL frames instead
Multiple frames renders correctly
