Can't render phoenix FD liquid mesh with octane

Hi,
I'm trying to render a phoenix fd simulation in mesh mode with octane with no success, the mesh is visible in the viewport and I've tried to add the "octane geometry properties" modifier with the "render liquid mesh" checked but still nothing gets rendered.
what am I missing?
I'm using FireSmokeSim in Mesh mode and not LiquidSim, I've noticed that mesh generated in LiquidSim renders fine but mesh generated in FireSmokeSim wont render.
the mesh behavior I'm after have to be simulated in FireSmokeSim.
I'm using 3dsmax 2024, OctaneRender 2023.1.3-14.13 and Phoenix 5.21.00

Thanks.

Maybe this needs to be exported as a VDB seq and then imported?

Thanks for your reply, I've manage to export as an Alembic file and then import and render and it worked fine, but its weird that its not working without exporting, the mesh is created and visible in the viewport,
is it a different mesh then the mesh created with liquid source?
why is the "octane geometry properties" doesn't work?

Hi PromotsAdmin,
It’s not clear to me, if I understood correctly, why you’re simulating smoke and want to render it as water. I don’t think it’s possible due to the different nature of the created geometry. In any case, the liquid workflow is as follows:
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=71779#p363846
For volumes, however, it is necessary to use an Octane modifier
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=71731&p=363533&hil ... ix#p363533

Hi,
Thanks for your reply,
the reason that I've wanted to render smoke simulation as water is to mimic an underwater explosion/ bubbles rising.(see attached preview)
with v-ray you can easily render the mesh created with smoke simulation but in this case as I've switched to octane long time ago, I've used a workaround and exported the mesh as alembic and manage to render the shot.
it would be great if no export would be necessary and we could render smoke mesh straight up :-)
Thanks.
PromotsAdmin.

Hi PromotsAdmin,
Could you share your malfunctioning scene?

Hi,
sure thing, attached is the scene file (you need to simulate some frames in order to see the mesh, I think 10 is enough for the test)
Thanks!

Hi PromotsAdmin,
Something strange is happening; I'm not getting any geometry when running the simulation. Which version of Phoenix are you using? Maybe something got lost?

Hi PromotsAdmin,
The developer are going to add the option to display the FireSmokeSim like a Mesh with Octane.
