Houdini 20.0.724 instancing failure

I am using Production Build 20.0.724 with Octane 2023.1.3.1(Jun 10 2024). I have a scene using instance node that works fine in IPR but when i go to render sequence it hangs on first frame and returns the following error:
*** OCTANE API ERROR: device 1: failed to bind device to thread, since it's already bound
*** OCTANE API ERROR: device 1: failed to initialize context
*** OCTANE API ERROR: device 0: failed to bind device to thread, since it's already bound
*** OCTANE API ERROR: device 0: failed to initialize context
*** OCTANE API ERROR: device 1: failed to initialize render thread 00000001FB989F60
*** OCTANE API ERROR: device 0: failed to initialize render thread 00000001FB989690
The scene is using Houdini's Instance node and instance attribute on points with a randomized string for variant object paths. I have tried switching from update to full scene reload (even though i have no time dependant nodes) and it still fails. I used the same setup in a smaller test scene and it worked flawlessly. Can anyone please help me troubleshoot this?
