Is it possible to connect procedural textures (gradient, noise, etc.) to the light source?
Other renderers use light filters, as far as I know.

Hi Michael,
Thanks again for the reminder.
Do you mean the *Use texture* param in the main Octane light plugin?
We have an internal ticket to implement the same feature.
cheers

Light filters would be a nice 'Solaris' way to implement them - That's what Vray is doing also. Redshift have a weird implementation needing a dummy prim last I checked. Getting the regular texture parm working is a start but not really the same thing.

Thank you for your reply.
I meant the ability to add a procedural texture to "Distribution", "Power" or "Texture" like in the main plugin, but in a more user-friendly way.

Thank you Michael,
We have created an internal ticket to allow/add textures to distribution or textures like the main plugin.
Main plugin wworkflow seems to be okay.. please share if you have any idea!
Cheers
