Color management issues (preview vs final render)

Hi,
I want to use built in Blender's Color management instead of Octane's but is only works properly in final render. When doing preview render in viewport the image is washed out and is different compared to final render.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Disable Octane Imager.
2. Enable Prefer Image Type to HDR.
3. In Blender's Color management set View transform to AgX.
4. Render image and compare it to render preview. Both look different.

This issue has been there in all recent builds for some time and disabling Shared surface in preferences does not help as someone once suggested.

Do not disable Imager, just set it to Linear.

Ok, that works.
Can you explain what is the use of "Prefer Image TYpe" in server settings?

About the "Prefer Image Type", it is used to select the tonemap buffer type (LDR or HDR) in the Final Render.
By default, when the imager is active, Octane uses LDR in the Final Render. Otherwise, it uses HDR.
With this option, users can decide LDR or HDR themselves.

This makes sense, but it does not work in preview window. The image in preview is LDR even if HDR is enabled. In final render HDR is displayed properly.

It works only for the final render.

Is it possible to make it work in 3d preview window?
