A. Windows 10 Pro 22H2 19045.3930
B. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090
C. 128 GB
D. NVIDIA Studio Driver 551.23 (01/24/2024)
E. OctaneRender_Studio+_2023_1_2_win.exe
F. OctaneStudio-for-C4D-2023.1.2_R3_win
G. MAXON Cinema 4D 2024.2.0
H. I have a scenefile that only renders in the picture viewer when RTX is disabled.
So I try to disable RTX acceleration.
Please open the attached screenshot of the dialog windows to follow my discription.
I open the Octane settings dialog and deactivate "Use RTX acceleration" under "Devices"
Then I open the "OctaneRender device preferences" with the "device settings" button below "Available devices".
There I can see that the checkbox for "Use RTX acceleration" is still checked.
I uncheck the checkbox and close the dialog, when I open it again the checkbox is still active.
I have to repeat this process until the checkbox is disabled when opening the dialog.
Then my scenefile renders without RTX error message. Otherwise I got "device 1: disabling RTX acceleration as mesh data cannot be placed into VRAM" in the log.
When I close my scenefile and open it again RTX acceleration is activated again.
It should not be that complicated to deactivate RTX acceleration and the setting should be saved in the scenefile.
The secondary problem is why there is not enough VRAM for RTX when there is 32GB available for out-of-core...
I. Copies of the Octane Log window and Console window outputs (full text attached as a file to your post is recommended). Please find attached files.

Hi,
it is the same also in OctaneRender Standalone.

The RTX Acceleration option is in the General Settings, not in the Scene settings.

I think there is an issue with Output AOVs in the scene, better to delete and rebuild them from scratch.

ciao,
Beppe

In the OctaneRender Standalone RTX Accelaration is deactivated when I open it.
In Cinema 4D it's always on.

I think the link between these two checkboxes, Octane Standalone dialog and C4D dialog, is broken.

No Output AOVs are used in this scene only C4D image saving.

Kind regards,
Denis
