Blender Octane, Photoshop Beauty Pass Rebuild

Hi there,
Relatively new to blender octane, and would like to work my way back to rebuilding the Octane beauty pass using photoshop.

To start simple, just using reflection (full pass) linear added to diffuse (full pass) does not get me the actual beauty pass.
it gets close, but not fully.

these are just simple cubes with default octane materials, no refraction, transmission or emission ( they render out black ).
the environment is a texture environment node with 0 power.

attached is the result of beauty vs reflection + diffuse, in photoshop.

would like some advice on how to match the beauty, feel free to let me know anything I might have missed.
Thanks

Hi,

Nobody should perform CGI compositing in any Adobe software (mostly AE and PS). They have never been designed for it and are unsuited (technically and factually flawed on many levels).

Also, compositing implies proper EXR exports and an accordingly suitable compositing software. I don't know how reliable it is, but Blender internal compositor should be a superior and free solution over PS. A not so expensive option in Fusion Standalone (not in Resolve) and the well industry established Nuke (relatively accessible). The links are recommended guides and nodal compositing isn't as complicated as one may think.

Hey!

Thanks for sharing the info, I will take a look to improve my knowledge.

Turns out it was the viewport vignette that was the issue, and there isnt a way to export the vignette as a pass I believe.

Consider this issue solved, thanks!
