looked in forum but couldn't find any answer to this. How do you stagger an image texture in octane?

Thanks for any advice, Andreas

Hi Andreas,
not sure to have understood your question correctly (always better to post some screenshots), but please, have a look at Chaos texture node here:

Thanks for your reply,
I am talking about a tiling with offset in the next row, like a brick tiling instaed of square grid tiling. Best would be to set a value for the offset. Every once in a while I get a pattern with offset.

Thanks, Andreas

I played a bit with a square wave plugged into distorted UV projection. The square wave creates horizontal stripes with low/high values and this drives the horizontal translation of the UV.

I had to tweak it to find the right alignment. Maybe you can play with it until you find the correct setup for your texture. In the wave pattern tweak the amplitude, scaling and position and in the distorted UV node you can also play with the translation range.

Thanks a lot!! This is a workaround, had to do some tests to find settings for scaling & shifting of tiles & pattern and worked better with box projection in wave pattern.
