Getting the Post bloom/glare to affect a background plate

So far the only way I found to do it is to add the footage image sequence into an Octane Sky and render it with Alpha Channel OFF and "Keep Environment" ON. However, since the footage is being mapped into the Spherical Octane Sky, there is some distortion happening to it.
I'd love to be able to use a BACKGROUND scene element to avoid distorting the plate.
