My love letter to Octane Standalone

Hi. I wrote a blog post about my experience with Octane, over the years - I was I think an early adopter in Arch Viz.

Oh, god, "final gather" what a PITA all that was! As amazing as it seemed, it was terribly impractical for the kind of animation production we were doing at the time. Basic scanline with all the tricks and fakes and work-arounds and post fixes was the only way to reliably get the work out the door on time. It's good to remind myself how mind-blowing the real-time feedback we get these days truly is, and how insanely cheap the hardware and software are, too.
