Is there a way to export from 3dsmax V-ray to octane c4d?

I have a scene that isn't working at all being converted from 3dsmax to c4d via fbx or obj. I have max 2022, c4d 2023, vray, and octane. Converting the materials in 3dsmax from vray to octane via "convert all materials" seems to work, but how can I then get that over to c4d without the texture links breaking?

Maybe exporting to an .orbx? Can C4D import this?

Hello,
Yes, Octane for C4D will import the .orbx file.

How exactly do I do this? How do I do a complete scene export and import? I was able to export all the objects as .octprx but I don't see how to import them in to c4d.
To make things more difficult, octane doesn't seem to be loading in 3dsmax now. I reinstalled it but the menu still doesn't show up in 3dsmax and loading it from the plugin manager doesn't do anything.
