Proper way to use motion blur

I have a camera that follows along a car and for this scene to work, I really need motion blur on the wheels. However, the car itself is getting blurry too. I read the docs but still cound't figure out how to solve that problem.

Could you share basic steps to get motion blur to work correctly? I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Just put Octane tag to over top of car hierarchy. Effect will appear when you activate motion blur from camera. Default values are enough, don't change anything in tags. Just increase the "Time sampling per frames" parameter step-by-step in Octane Render settings if your wheels are turning fast.

What about the environment? Do I need to put a tag on every single building too? I still get an unsharp car, which comes from motion blur not camera bokeh. Perhaps I need to bake the object and Octane doesn't support rigged velocity calcuations since the car is rigged?

I just sent you the link in a DM can't share it publicly on forum. I'd really appreciate if you could have a quick look.

Make a small test by using some dummy geometry except using full model. It will make you look for different direction..

I already tried that. I've spent a lot of time on this and exhausted my options unfortunately. any chance you can look into the scene?

Can you add similar option to Object Tag to disable DOF effect from object? Most of the times we don't want blurred reflections while using DOF mainly in product, architectural visualizations.

Yes pretty similiar but it's a rig, not sure if the rig breaks anything. Could you check out the scene file I sent you in direct message? I simplified it for you so it's super quick to understand.
