C4D Asset Browser problem using Octane

Problem using C4D Asset Browser with Octane is that Octane plugin make copy of all images loaded from it on disk C AppData\Roaming\Maxon\Maxon Cinema 4D 2023_732AD996\tex\assetdb folder. This is huge wasting of disk space especially using HDRI images.
If Octane can't use images directly from Asset Browser please add option to choose custom path for Assets storage. Using disc C for that is very bad idea because many people use this disc only for crucial system files for backup and security. Mostly times disc C has small amount of storage space for backup purpose to avoid system fault, viruses etc to make it easy to restore. Also clear image cache doesn't work for Assets storage path.

You should choose custom path for Assets storage.
I have an asset DB on a seperat HD and local asset db in ech project folder like the tex folder.

This is not what I mean. For every image loaded from Asset Browser Octane create its own copy in C4D main folder called "tex". This is completely not the same as choosing custom path for Asset storage.

it's only way to use these. No direct usage, save and use that. Is there a way to access for stored images without saving to hdd?

Ok I understand limitations. But please make option for custom path for these like it is for Luts, OSL and other in options but not only for disc C.

It should use the current project directory. Are you working on unsaved documents?

Probably yes because it was scene loaded from Asset Browser that I created as default for some specific projects and every new version created from this scene cause that all images included in this scene are created in C4D tex folder.

Try to save project before downloading something from Asset browsers. Otherwise your textures may stay on temporal locations and linked from there. Not good

Right, so this is issue only for scene files stored in Asset Browser. There is no way to merge scene from AssetBrowser.
But it works fine when we save loaded scene from Browser before launching Octane. Thank you for pointing this out.
