"RAW" toggle in passes is called Beauty

According to documentation enabling RAW "allows more control over the final look in post-production." It's not a pass.

Hi, could you link that documentation page?

From an up to date documentation page:
"Raw — Convert the Beauty AOVs to raw AOVs by factor out the color of the BxDF of the surface hit by the camera ray."


There is no such a thing as "Raw" file encoding like a digital camera, in Octane.
EXR is basically that, by default (and as long "Force Tone Mapping" is not enabled).

Raw rendering allows more control over the final look in post-production. The RAW render checkbox can be found in the Render AOV Group node parameters (figure 1). Toggling Raw passes does not restart the render.
If you enable this there is no RAW pass in render passes.
