Octane 2021.1.6 for Unreal Engine 0.59 - Unreal 5.1 *Updated

Octane for Unreal Engine

*5.1 Preview 2 build has been updated and replaced with a build for the latest UE 5.1

Changes:
  • Unreal 5.1 Preview 2
  • Installer: Changed install location to Engine/Plugins/Marketplace. This solves a compiler error issue for projects that use octane plugin
  • Lights: Added lightfunction support
  • ORBX Importing: Greatly improved Octane to Unreal material conversion:
    • Improved conversion for constant value nodes (float, int, rgb, grayscale etc)
    • Fixed issue where certain octane materials mixed up the correct unreal inputs for texture node graphs
    • Added support for octane color correction node conversion
  • ORBX Importing: improved material - mesh connections
  • ORBX Importing: Scatter nodes with one transform are now converted to staticmeshcomponents
  • Textures: Improved loading speeds for most textures
  • Textures: Improved memory footprint for most textures
  • Lights: Added IES support to point and rect lights (spotlights already had them)
  • Lights: Lightfunctions and IES now works together
  • ORBX export: Added blueprint function that exports the current scene to ORBX. name is: ExportToORBX
  • Improved the naming for generated nodes in the octane scene graph

Fixes:
  • Geometry: Fixed possible crash that happened with nanite meshes that have incorrect material indexes
  • Geometry: Better base material slot names
  • Rendertargets: Rendertargets are now connected to the scene by default - improving scene exports
  • Build: Improved build files (should not impact anything)
  • ORBX Importing: Fixed a couple of crashes related to empty material nodes and scatter nodes
  • Textures: Fixed couple of minor UDIM issues
  • Textures: Added alpha channel for HDR UDIMs
  • Textures: Fixed a UDIM resize crash
  • Sequencer: Fixed issue with octane node sequencer tracks for RGB color pins
  • Logging: Added various more logging for warnings and errors
  • Octane is no longer updated when dragging objects in the unreal viewport (solves various stuttering and performance issues)
  • ORBX Component: Improved GetParameterNode with fail and succes exec pins

*Updated this build to 5.1 as there were breaking API changes between preview and 5.1

Crashes in UE 5.1

In UE 5.0.3, the MetaHuman faces a showing as black, but the hand textures are showing ok.

Does it always crash on 5.1? Or specific scenes? I could not find the crash you are talking about.

Metahumans are not fully supported at the moment, and various materials might end up black.

There is no steps you have to reproduce? I never crashes here, no matter what test scene i use, so i cant seem top recreate.
