X-Particles Multiple Group Particle Rendering

I guess I never noticed, but attempting to render a super basic particle simulation with particles moving from one group to another, the particles can only render through a single group channel. Maybe behind the scenes the channel input technically switches to another emitter idk? None the less, you can't put object tags with render particles directly on groups, so unless you want to use a bunch of generators or link to thinking particles and run xpresso for particle values which I don't want to do, this seems super odd that Octane cant simply track the particles from one group to another, its the exact same particle just taking on new particle values.
This makes it impossible to utilize XP to its best potential which is particle use. Cylces and RS both dont have this issue, is there a reason Octane can't read group changes while rendering attributes from both?
I can easily switch channels to get one or the other but not both simultaneous/when switching directly to a new group.
