Compare menu as buttons on the LV toolbar

Hello,
If compare mode and functions can be usable as buttons on the toolbar, it will help a lot. Personally I use it a lot and every time I have to reach the menu and open it to store, enable or delete buffer needs.
(By the way, it it possible to reach them via Python? If so I can write some scripts for them and I can use them with shortcuts or as on a toolbars...)
