Light Attenuation & Gobo Texture

1. Light Attenuation
I really want the functionality as in the Mantra and other render engines, where there is a curve in the light settings for remapping the light intensity depending on the distance from the source.
Sometimes the light is very intense near the source, but there is not enough power to brighten distant objects.

2. Gobo Texture
I think everyone knows what a texture gobo is. I know that you can use it in octane, but sometimes it doesn’t look right, and doing it manually every time is completely inconvenient. I would really like to see this functionality added to the standard settings.

Hi,

Worth mentioning: while "Light Attenuation" is physically non-plausible, it's an user-friendly adjustable type of feature.

"Gobos" are "informally" currently possible. Either via mesh acting as the physical filters (as in IRL), or via some of the options from Octane's emission (texture, distribution, etc, depending on the intended result).
Which ways you found difficult / not "right looking"?

Also worth mentioning: actual light filters are on the roadmap.
