One of those straightforward questions, really.
Is it RGB or sRGB? And if there's a way to change/switch it.
My default settings of C4D now looks like this:

Working in ACES btw (if it changes anything).

Octane values are linear. Color dialog is sRGB and making a conversion between this. Don't know the color picker. It's operated by C4D.

So just to make it 100% clear- are the values seen in my albedo color input (220,220,220) now in sRGB or RGB?

sRGB for defaults. Don't know if it changes with "project/input color profile".

Understood. Since my settings are at default (didn't change any) it means my current albedo value is definitely set in sRGB.
Thanks for clearing that up!

Hi,

"RGB" is not a color space.

It's by default, and in general, always sRGB non-linear (EOTF applied) or Linear-sRGB.

It wouldn't be recommended as it is highly prone to user-error and most importantly: unnecessary.

So I guess the correct way of asking would be if it's linear or non-linear, right?
Anyways, I got my answer. Thanks.
