General lighting question

This topic isn´t related to octane c4d.
I´m wondering how I get so smooth and large gradient reflection as shown in the screenshot attached.
The diffusor create a real large gradient at the cylindric object.

Any idea how to archive this effect in 3D?
Trying to rebuild this setup doesnt work for me, maybe HDRI LigtStudio is the right way to go here?

Kind regards

Maybe start by showing us what happens when you try to do this? then upload a scene file so we can check.

Hi,

Often via light-textures or light bouncing from a surface, similar to studio setups.

You can put a C4D gradient into the texture input on an octane light tag. If you see the edges of the light in the reflection just turn the opacity of the area light to zero.
