How can i completely disable depth of field to create nice and crisp images without autofocus.
Also, why my demo crash when i import obj from blender with "edges", but without em its working. And do i need these edges in my obj? Thanks

To disable DOF, set the aperture in the camera node to 0. To get a bit more crisp rendering, set the filter size in the kernel node to 1.25 or 1.3.

Edges can't be used and should be disabled during export. You will find the OBJ export settings that work in the manual, which comes with the demo version.

Marcus

thanks! Another question, if you dont mind, what is more realistic for interior scenes: pathtracing or directlightning?

Hi, pathtracing is physical correct but slower, directlightning is fast and more for previews and animations.
The beta 2.51 for customers have a more extended directlightning kernel for realitic results.

Thanks again, gotta buy it. I tried to create mesh emitter light in demo, but can't find how. Help? I created blackbody node, but it won't connect to anything

IIRC, mesh lights are not possible in the demo.

Cheers, mib.

Hi,

To use a mesh light you need to connect the emission node to a diffuse material node. And these are available in the 2.46b demo version.
