Close Spline render with wrong scale on last segment

Hi,
I am rendering a simple rectangle spline primitive with an octane render tag to render as hair. The last spline segment connecting the end to the start ( aka Closed spline ) has a tapered / scale at the end of the segment. ( Red spline top right corner ) I can't seem to be able to override that behavior and render a constant "width" spline with the Hair Material.
- Changing root and tip size doesn't correct the behavior.
- Using Hair Material to change size doesn't correct the behavior.
- Using an Open Spline doesn't exhibit the error.
