Single color in environment

Hi,

I can't seem to find that. I can only use daylight or hdri.
I need to be able to add an RRG or Gradient in the environment. How's that possible? This definitely needs a dome light, this isn't intuitive to add these types of lights in materials

Thanks

This was suggested by a friend. Can we please add this function or something similar so its on the top level node at least? Going inside and editing contents is not what the average user expects.

Many thanks!

Yes, I can try to expose an option in the Render Target HDA to do use any color as an environment, but anyway, be aware that editing the render target HDA or even building your own custom render target node is something really basic and useful for the "average Houdini user" ;) ... you should learn how to deal with these topics while working in Houdini :)

Thanks,

Thanks for the tip! Definitely lots of things to grasp. I just thought this is something that belongs there with the rest of the options.

Check out ODTools for Houdini, you'll get a nice Octane node along with other useful HDAs.
