Retiming of VDBs

Can you add a retiming feature to the VDB loader (I'm using C4D)?
EmberGenFX is pretty useless until either they add a true retiming feature (which they are planning to add by version 1.0) or if you could add it in the VDB importer.
None of the frame skipping, or sync adjustment techniques suggested on these forums give acceptable results from EmberGenFX to C4D.
Insydium's open VDB loader has this feature as well as C4D's own VDB loader.
